Anna Kirby went to New York to escape heartbreak and have some fun. She wasn't meant to meet someone . . . someone like Ethan. Now, back in London, she's having to get over a man who's three thousand miles away....

Ethan Scott broke every one of his rules during his week with Anna and now he can't seem to go back to life before her. A business trip to London gives him the opportunity to change his rules for good. Will he take it?

Autumn in London is the second part of The Empire State Series, a series of three novellas.

Follow up to A Week in New York.

Series Rating: five-stars

Anna Kirby didn’t mean to fall for a man while in New York. In fact, she is the one that cut out all of their connection after their week in New York. Now, she is a funk trying to find her balance back. On top of all that, her job is on the line and she doesn’t know what her future holds.

Ethan Scott knew he was taken a risk when he broke all his rules on that week with Anna in New York. After that, her ghost has moved into his house and all other women pale in comparison to her. Going to London on a job, he hasn’t decide if he should try to find Anna, or if he is better off without complicating matters. Will he listen to his heart or to his head?

“I knew I wanted to fuck her again but I knew that my dick didn’t always have my best interests at heart. My brain knew I didn’t need the distraction – work was going to be demanding.”

Autumn in London is even better than A Week in New York. Once again fate plays a big part on their romance, and Anna’s first reaction is illogical and reasonable at the same time.

Ms. Bay has created the best male character of the year for me. I can’t believe how perfect Ethan is. He is hot, kinky, confident, loyal and not afraid of the unknown. Have I mention how kinky he is? OMG, Ethan is panty-wetter, cold-shower hot and Anna is the perfect pair for him, as she says here:

Ï’m thinking that you give me the appetite of a nineteen-year-old boy, too.”

Both characters love each other since New York, but they are  so stuck on their habits and on the idea of having a good time, that it seems they can’t see far ahead. Their live-each-day-as-it-was-the-last way of being ends up biting them at their asses when the time comes. Their lack of planning, of believing, and of having the courage to say it aloud they want more, will beat them down and leave things unclear.

Oh, I can’t wait to read the book 3! This series has been amazing. Even though the passionate scenes are abundant and awesome, the plot is based on their romance and not on the characters sex life.

You may read this because you enjoy a fast-paced read; you should read this because you like your fairy tales kinky and hot; but you MUST read this if you want to connect, relate and feel along with amazing characters!

“Well, we carve pumpkins at Halloween, not Thanksgiving. On Thanksgiving we fuck. We spend the whole weekend naked and fucking.”

About Louise Bay

I write sexy, romantic, contemporary novels – the kind I like to read!
Ruined by romantic mini-series of the seventies and eighties, I love all things romantic. There’s not enough of it in real life so I’ll settle for books and films.
I love the rain, the West Wing, London, days when you don’t have to wear make-up, being alone, being with friends, elephants and champagne.
