Roman Valdez is the Devil.
He sneers at me.
He hates me.
He wants to hurt me.

Let him try.

He thinks he’s untouchable. The self-appointed Devil of Sun Valley High.
But I’ve already lost everything and everyone I care about.
It’s me he should be afraid of. Not the other way around.
Because I have nothing left to lose, and he can’t break what’s already broken.

At least, that’s what I thought.

But when the Devil begins picking up the pieces, I realize while he might not break me. He can absolutely shatter me, heart and soul.

And I just might let him.

This was great!!!

This was my first book by the author even though I know she writes urban fantasy under another name.

I have to say that I love the high school bullying trope and I’ve been reading a lot of them lately. This one still felt unique. It did have all the usual clichés of the trope, but it had more depth and great twist. Looking forward to the next one!!!

Oh. I can’t forget to say that I’ve loved the latino’s flavor!!!

Intense, young love!!!!

33/35 STARS –  4.5 STARS (between 31 stars and 33 stars)

Addictiveness: 5 Character: 5 Cover: 4.5 Freshness: 4 Plot: 4.5 Romance: 5 Writing Style: 5

Would I recommend? Yes, for all readers of bully romance!!!

Would I re-read this book/series? Yes!

Would I read more from the author? Definitely!!!

Bite her delectable lips until they bleed. Caress her body until it bruises. I’m not a gentle lover. I kiss hard and fuck even harder.

Addictiveness: 5/5 I was hooked from the first page and had to read this in one sitting. It was a very small book, so it went to middle of the night, but I couldn’t let go. As addictive as chocolate!!!

Character: hero 5/5, heroine 5/5, secondary characters 5/5, growth 5/5, real 5/5 Multidimensional characters with amazing background stories and great evolution during the book.

Allie was a wonderful heroine. She were dealt pretty heavy stuff in such a young age, but she kept reinventing herself and becoming more. She was such a strong, female character, that it was very easy to love and connect with her.

Roman was also great. Yes, he was a jerk, but his tough shell hide away a wonderful friend, a great son and a very passionate young guy. His mistakes were normal and expected for his age. His character went through such a great evolution throughout the story that I ended in love with him.

Secondary characters: There are so many great ones. I mean, I completely adore Emilio and Dom!! Also, Aaron, his sister… so many characters yet to be explored.

Villain/antagonists this ended up in the air still. We know we got some villains, but we don’t really know who they are yet. I mean, we had a pretty clear one that I shall now name here, but there were some still up in the air.

They were all easy to love, to connect and understand!!!

Cover: art 4.5/5, title 5/5, color-font 5/5, subtitle 2/5, background 5/5 buy 5/5  I’m obsessed with book covers. I love to find snippets of the stories within the art. I always try to be true to myself, I buy so many books because of the cover and I have skipped many because of not very appealing art. Covers are part of the experience for me and I do like to understand them. This one was great!!! I can see how this could be Roman and I like the tattoo details. The title was great and the colors used for font and background worked perfectly. I only missed a bit of a subtitle. I would definitely buy this book by its cover without needing to read the blurb!

Freshness: 4/5 Yes. This was another high school bully romance, but it also offered more. It had more depth with some unexpected twists and the latino flavor felt fresh and original. As fresh as mint mentos!!!

Plot: believable 5/5, conflict 5/5, dialogue 5/5, ending 4/5, enjoyment 5/5, opening 5/5, pace 5/5, setting 5/5, subplots 5/5, twists 5/5  Amazing opening with good ending, even though I still have lots os questions. Superb plot, with well written dialogues and intense pace. Great setting, a few really good subplots with superb twists. High level of enjoyment!

This was intense!!! The were moments that I was LOL with these guys and others they were making me cry. The twists and turns were excellent and had more depth than expected.

Romance: believable 5/5, chemistry 5/5, description 5/5, development 4.5/5, steam 4/5  Yeah, not cute, sweet romance. This was intense, raw, painful love. They were so young, but there chemistry was undeniable and their endurance and resilience to keep going and fighting for this love story was beautiful. Everlasting love!!!

Writing Style: 5/5 This was my first book by the author and I’m already in love with her writing. The plot had depth, the characters were complex, the romance was poignant, the smut was hot and it all came in a clean, cohesive writing. Work of a wordsmith!!!

Let me pick up all your broken pieces and put you back together. Let me be your anchor when you’re lost and the world keeps spinning around you.

by Roman

Because I try to be very analytical and I don’t really believe in perfection…

The ending was good, but as all good series it left me with a lot more questions. I can’t wait dig deeper into all these amazing secondary characters!

You MAY read this because you follow the author; you SHOULD read this because you like bully romance; you MUST read this because of the wonderful romance with some latino flavor!!!
