I should have looked away. I shouldn’t have watched.
Except I did, and now, him and his, uh, diving board are all I can think about…
I moved back to LA to start over after my divorce. Single, semi-retired after selling my lingerie company, and looking for a little peace and quiet by the pool.
Except that’s before I get a glimpse of something I never should have seen—the boy next door, in his bedroom, through my bathroom window. Four years ago, Mason Dunn was a cutie with an infectious smile. Now, the boy next door is all grown up.
Grown up, panty-meltingly gorgeous, and apparently, hung like a freaking horse.
He’s completely inappropriate. He’s utterly off-limits. Not to mention, he’s my next door neighbor’s son. But when the tables get turned, and it’s Mason who catches me with my hands where they shouldn’t be, I might be helpless to say anything but “please.”
He’s nine years my junior, but he’s perfectly legal. He’s perfectly yummy, too. The boy next door grew the fuck up, and I might be in big trouble.
Huge, throbbing, coated in suntan oil, and endlessly hard trouble.
Whatever is a girl to do?
Sun’s out, buns out. Dive on in to the summer fling you never saw coming. Inappropriate? Yup. Filthy AF? You betcha. Grab a tall glass of something and a fan; things are about to get hot and sweaty. Safe, no cheating, and HEA guaranteed.

This is book #1 of Boys of Summer series, but it can be read as a standalone.
This delivered exactly what it promised!
This was an erotic novella, filled with smut and instalove.
This was, what I like to call, an in-between books. This was short, hot and dirty!
I like to read these books between more complex ones. I had just finished a tear jerker and needed something just entertainment.
This was Ms. Faye to a T. It was a steamy, unbelievable sex, fast romance.
33.5/35 STARS – 5 STARS (between 33.5 stars and 35 stars)
Addictiveness: 4 Character: 3.5 Cover: 5 Freshness: 3.5 Plot: 3 Romance: 4 Writing Style: 3.5
Action 1/5 Angst 1/5 Darkness 0/5 Humor 3.5/5 Romance 5/5 Suspense/Mystery 0/5
Would I recommend? Yes, if you are looking for some fast, instalove smut!
Would I re-read this book/series? No.
Would I read more from the author? Yes, I always do. 🙂
Addictiveness: 4/5 This was fast, steamy and sweet at the same time. The pace was perfect for one hour of entertainment. As addictive as pizza!!!
Character: hero 3.5/5, heroine 3.5/5, secondary characters 3/5, growth 3/5, real 3/5 Like in most instalove smut, it had shallow character development, but they were easy to like, connect and understand.
Cover: art 5/5, title 5/5, color-font 5/5, subtitle 5/5, background 5/5 buy 5/5 I’m obsessed with book covers. I love to find snippets of the stories within the art. I always try to be true to myself, I buy so many books because of the cover and I have skipped many because of not very appealing art. Covers are part of the experience for me and I do like to understand them. This one was perfect! It is so gorgeous, that I know that I would buy this book in a bookstore only to have this beautiful art on my shelves. 🙂 The title is cheesy, the art is sexy, the colors and font work perfectly. The subtitle is catchy and the author’s name already let us know this will be smut. I would definitely buy this book by its cover without needing to read the blurb.
Plot: believable 3/5, conflict 3/5, dialogue 4/5, ending 5/5, enjoyment 4/5, opening 4/5, pace 5/5, setting 4/5, subplots 3/5, twists 3/5 Hot opening with an sweet ending. Ok plot, with good banter and great pace. Nice setting, with an interesting subplo. Good level of enjoyment!
When I finished the book I was disappointed, until I noticed that I had an epilogue after the end. So, don’t stop reading until your e-reader says 100%, because there good stuff is at the end. Yeah, I know, why would I need an epilogue so much? My answer is: why would I read instalove smut without the completely unrealistic ending? This is fiction at it’s best… it needs an epilogue!
Romance: 4/5 This was hot! Lots of smut, some good ones. Dirty! Not romantic at all, or better yet, the romantic part was completely cheesy. But this was good instalove smut! Have I mentioned HOT! Hot romance!!!!
Writing Style: 3.5/5 I always read Ms. Faye’s book. They are usually fast, dirty and taboo. They are completely unrealistic, but they are good entertainment with no cheating and HEA. Good writing!
Because I try to be very analytical and I don’t really believe in perfection…
Freshness: 3.5/5 There was nothing very original here. All the clichés part of instalove smut were here. But I didn’t choose this book expecting something out-of-this-world original. I chose to read this because I knew the author always deliver good smut! As fresh iced tea during summer!
