Don't fall for your enemy...especially when he's your new roommate.
Dean Evans is the worst.
Not only does the devil in disguise steal my pie on a regular basis, he also lives in the apartment right. Next. Door.
I see him all the time. At the mailboxes. In the elevator.
Every single morning.
It's exhausting because he's exhausting.
Now, after setting his apartment on fire, he's my roommate...and he's the worst at that too.
I don't know what possessed me to let him stay with me. Pity, perhaps?
I do know that I won't be falling for his charm.
Or that panty-dropping smirk.
His quick wit.
That body he works so hard for.
Nope. Not falling for any of it...least of all him.
There might be a fine line between love and hate, but I know exactly where I stand.

This is book #1 of the Roommate Romps series but can be read as a standalone.
Easy, fast read with some good laughs and sexy times.
A good feel sexy rom-com, with enemies-to-lovers trope and a nice HEA at the end.
It feels like the beginning of a good series with several interesting characters that mostly lives together in the same building complex.
28.5/35 STARS – 4 STARS (between 28 stars and 31 stars)

Would I recommend? Yes, for readers looking for a light, fun read!
Would I re-read this book/series? I don’t really know.
Would I read more from the author? Definitely!!
Addictiveness: 4.5/5 This was an easy, fun read. I read this book in one sitting. As addictive as ice cream!!!
Character: hero 5/5, heroine 4/5, secondary characters 5/5, growth 4/5, real 4/5 Good characters, interesting background.
River was an ok heroine. I had a love/hate relationship with her. She annoyed me a lot. She was too uptight and that level of stress didn’t feel realistic. Even the way she acted toward Dean, it felt like too much. I also think her background story wasn’t fully explored, maybe giving me a better understanding why she was this way.
Dean was a great hero. I really liked him. He was fun, patient, hot and really seemed like he had everything going for him. His one problem, was that he said he didn’t like cats. 🙂 But even that was easy to forgive. I also wanted more depth to his character, but he was a good, strong, main character.
Secondary characters there were several interesting secondary characters. River’s friends Maya and Caroline, Dean’s bff and sister, Cooper, Lucy.. several really.
Villain/antagonists there wasn’t a main conflict here, so there was no villain or antagonist.
They were mostly easy to love, connect and understand!
Cover: art 4.5/5, title 5/5, color-font 5/5, subtitle 5/5, background 3/5 buy 4.5/5 I’m obsessed with book covers. I love to find snippets of the stories within the art. I always try to be true to myself, I buy so many books because of the cover and I have skipped many because of not very appealing art. Covers are part of the experience for me and I do like to understand them. The art of this cover was a bit generic, but the title and subtitle added personal touches to the story. The overall look worked! I would probably buy this book by its cover without needing to read the blurb!
Plot: believable 4/5, conflict 2/5, dialogue 4/5, ending 5/5, enjoyment 4/5, opening 4.5/5, pace 4/5, setting 5/5, subplots 3/5, twists 2/5 Great opening with a cute ending. Interesting plot, with well written dialogues and ok pace. Great setting, with not much of subplot and twist. Good level of enjoyment!
I have mixed feelings about the plot. The plot concept was great, but it ended missing a few things. I wanted a little more of a conflict and I wished for a twist of sorts.
Romance: believable 4/5, chemistry 5/5, description 5/5, development 4.5/5, steam 4/5 This was a fun, cute, romance. I could feel through the hat game their attraction to each other. When they accepted they wanted each other we had a couple great steamy scenes. The ending felt realistic to the romance. Slow burn romance!!!
Writing Style: 4/5 Good plot concept, great hero, fun romance, with a clean, cohesive writing. Good writing!!!
Because I try to be very analytical and I don’t really believe in perfection…
Freshness: 3/5 This was another romance within the enemies-to-lovers trope. It didn’t have anything that felt original or unique, but it was well written and gave the reader a few hours of fun, sexy entertainment.
