Raine Kendall has been in love with her boss, Macen Hammerman, for years. Determined to make the man notice that she’s a grown woman with desires and needs, she pours out her heart and offers her body to him—only to be crushingly rejected. But when his friend, very single, very sexy Liam O’Neill watches the other Dom refuse to act on his obvious feelings for Raine, he resolves to step in and do whatever it takes to help Hammer find happiness again, even rousing his friend’s possessive instincts by making the girl a proposition too tempting to refuse. But he never imagines that he’ll end up falling for her himself.

Hammer has buried his lust for Raine for years. After rescuing the budding runaway from an alley behind his exclusive BDSM Dungeon, he has come to covet the pretty submissive. But tragedy has taught him that he can never be what she needs. So he watches over her while struggling to keep his distance. Liam’s crafty plan blindsides Hammer, especially when he sees how determined his friend is to possess Raine for his own. Hammer isn’t ready to give the lovely submissive over to any other Dom, but can he heal from his past and fight for her? Or will he lose Raine if she truly gives herself—heart, body, and soul—to Liam?

review 1

  • I like the cover. I don’t love it, because I don’t really think it matches them. Sure the woman has the same features of Raine, but their clothes doesn’t feel like them. I can see it would be a ménage, or a love triangle and that would be BDSM involved.
  • The book had a good pace, it kept me guessing and I’ve ended wanting more. There were no typo mistakes that I remember, it was cohesive and with two different sub-plots.
  • It was panty-wetter, cold-shower hot! Jumping my husband kind of scenes. Great descriptions, creativity, it felt real and I did feel the chemistry between characters.
  • It was hard to put down, a pretty addictive read.
  • I’m really looking forward to book number two.
  • This is BDSM soap opera material, which kept it all interesting.

Review 2

  • This is another of those read that I’ve mixed feeling. I’m not certain if I like or if I dislike the characters. What I can say is that I had a hard time connecting and understanding them.
  • All three main characters are screwed up. Oh, we are all full of flaws, but they have troubled pasts that have become more than flaws, but really psychological problems

my-thoughts

Yeah, I had to add my thoughts here, because there will be some spoilers.

Raine: she was a run away, she hasn’t share it all, but we know she didn’t have great parents. How many people in the world have bad parents? Does that exempt people for immaturity? I don’t think so. She did some bad things, and in my opinion, she was forgiven too easily, too early.

View Spoiler »

Hammer: I’m sorry, in this book he is a jerk, and that is me being nice. He wants Raine adoring him, but he treats her like shit. Also, he is a crap Dom in my opinion.

Liam: I’m not certain what kind of friend he is, and he is too nice for a Dom. Forgiving Raine’s behavior too easily.

Saying all that, I can see how they have lots of things to evolve and to become better.

I’ve really loved, hating them! 🙂

  • The characters are still my problem.
  • Also, a huge cliffhanger here. I just think, it should have been mentioned somewhere.

my-thoughts

Hammer becomes the better man in this one, and Liam jealousy drives me insane.

  • Wow, that cliffhanger was a punch, as I knew it would be. 🙂 I’ve enjoyed how the plot thicken.
  • I’m dying to read book four! I’m really wanting to know how the soap opera will end.

Review 2

  • Raine still frustrates me sometimes, even though the abuse theme does explain a lot.
  • Hammer is the big Dom, but he is too set on his ways to be a great Dom. He misses a lot by not seeing the whole picture. View Spoiler »
  • Liam drove me crazy in book 2, but he is still my favorite of the trio. His jealousy is obnoxious, but he is a better Dom than Hammer.
