Superheroes; kick-ass heroine; scorching hot alpha male!!!

Where the Boomers originated, corporations ran the world, divided them into sectors, and people worked for them or were used by them. The villains had won… by Garrett

Ilsa is a very smart doctor, working with neuroscience research, trying to save dogs and their owners of the pain of missing animals. She doesn’t work with humans, and she doesn’t want to work with them. When one of her friends shows up asking for a favor, with a farfetched tale of time travel human machines, she knows it’s not possible. Will she learn that no dream is impossible when there is hope for tomorrow?

Garrett has united with four other men to go back in time and try to save the world in the future. He knows how to follow orders, stay on the mission and save or kill his targets whenever is needed. What he doesn’t know is how to deal with a woman that he can’t touch, but needs to protect. Will he believe that she could be his antidote?

Ms. Long has created an amazing, complex plot. The world-build by the author is extremely creative and unique. The Judas Contact was a fast-paced read, very cohesively written that left me wanting more at the end. I’m really looking forward to read the next one of the series, as I’m also dying to read the book that was sort of the spin-off for this series.

I’ve loved all secondary characters and the hero, but Ilsa has entered my hall of best heroines. In the middle of a whole bunch of people with super powers, she has outshone them all with her brains, wit and great personality.  She was easy to love, understand and relate.

It’s not safe anywhere, honey. The world is a big bad place run by big bad men and populated by bigger, badder assholes. by Ilsa

P.S: My reading experience always starts with the cover and title. They add to the story, they give me pieces of what’s coming and they reflect something of the book. This title is so perfect, that I cannot imagine another one. The cover is beautiful, sexy and classy. Yet, I’m still missing that supernatural touch in it. That’s why I took off a few stars.

You MAY buy this book because you superheroes; you SHOULD buy this book because you enjoy amazing world-building; but you MUST read this book if like me, you love a kick-ass heroine!!!

About Heather Long

National bestselling author, Heather Long, likes long walks in the park, science fiction, superheroes, Marines, and men who aren’t douche bags. Her books are filled with heroes and heroines tangled in romance as hot as Texas summertime. From paranormal historical westerns to contemporary military romance, Heather might switch genres, but one thing is true in all of her stories—her characters drive the books. When she’s not wrangling her menagerie of animals, she devotes her time to family and friends she considers family. She believes if you like your heroes so real you could lick the grit off their chest, and your heroines so likable, you’re sure you’ve been friends with women just like them, you’ll enjoy her worlds as much as she does.
