Melanie is a White Wolf spirit healer—a maggishahwi--who hears the last call of a dying soul. She’s loved Mike Dorland forever. But her Cinderella hopes and glass-slipper dreams of a happy ever after with her Prince Charming are shattered the day her father kills Mike’s while driving drunk. Now Mike hates her, and when Mike returns to their home town, she’s both devastated and thrilled.

Mike’s the eldest son of one of the original three founders of the quaint town of Chabegawn, and a half-breed wolf who’s found his mate—Melanie. Mike returns to find the town torn apart by a series of vicious and malicious black bear slayings. Then the town’s beloved, world-famous horse breeder vanishes and his ravaged remains are found.

Melanie’s bent on saving black bear mothers and cubs, and she will risk her life to bait and capture the killers. But Mike will gamble everything to protect his mate.

Jaw-dropping hero; thrilling plot; naughty romance!

I play to win, and I always stack the odds in my favor. By Mike

Mike and his family returned to their hometown after 8 years away. He came back ready to battle and uncover all the mysteries of his past. He also returned to claim his mate. He will have to face many hurdles to be with her. Will they make it alive?

Melanie is a spirit healer that hasn’t learned yet how to use her powers. Power without knowledge may be more dangerous than no power at all. Will she be able to control herself? Or will she let a wolf claim stand in her way?

Tell your magnificent cock to take a hike. Business first. by Melanie

Soul Deep was a fast-paced read, with great world-building, that kept me guessing until the end. Ms. Carlo has created another intriguing plot for a great series-to-come.

The story not only has great main characters, but also many fascinating secondary characters. They are all easy to like, relate and understand. I could make a list of at least 5 names that I would like to read a book about.

The  heat is on! 🙂 The book has many sexy moments with well written scenes that felt brazen and romantic at the same time.

The author brings another shifter romance but with some fresh ideas that put its own stamp on the paranormal series out there.

Let’s not forget how addictive this book was. The story was so easy to read, and fast and exciting that I’ve read it all at once.

P.S: I have a cover fixation, and I usually like to say that my experiences with a story starts buy it’s cover and title. I like the cover, I love the wolf and the man seems hot. I wished that it wasn’t so dark, though so I could see him better.

You MAY buy this book because you like a paranormal romance; you SHOULD get this book because you like your alphas hot; you MUST read this book because you are ready for a brand new spicy love story!!!

About Jianne Carlo

Award winning author Jianne Carlo’s motto is simple: Alpha Me Please. Strong heroines, exotic locations, and cultural differences are her forte.

She goes weak in the knees for warriors of any type, rebels, SEALs, Vikings, and bad-ass mercenaries. Send her a man with an attitude and she’ll find the right woman to tame him.

Jianne’s writing career began in 2008, and since then she’s been lucky enough to have over twenty-four hot romances published. Most of her books are TOP PICKs with reviewers, and several have been nominated for and won awards and prizes.

Jianne’s been married for what seems simultaneously like forever and not long enough to a man with warrior Nordic ancestors. They have three sons, “the big lug,” “the wayward one,” and the “young’un.” The ”boys” not only tower over her, but they keep her hopping even though they are grown and only return home for two things—a loan and good food.

When not writing, she reads, takes Zumba classes, and then promptly eats all the calories burned by cooking something yummy on her favorite toy, her “robo-stove.” A night spent with family and friends eating one of her three-course meals and sipping red wine is by far her ideal way of relaxing.

Nothing makes Jianne’s day more than an email from someone who’s read one of her books. So far, she’s received emails from almost every continent on the planet. Almost…

Quirky Trivia:
1- The thing I love the most about writing is being able to indulge my rabid curiosity. Ha! What that really means is after a half-day Internet time-suck, I can say, “I was doing research, honest.”
2- I flew a fighter jet in a dogfight. Okay, I lost 5-4, but I did two rollovers (4G’s)!!!!
3- One of my not-so-secret-anymore obsessions is Vikings (that could be because the dh has Norse roots and looks like Thor—okay, maybe a tad on the worn and torn side, but still a God, right?).
4- My mom and I did a 28-day road trip across Monaco, France, Spain, and London, and we never quarreled once. Myself, I think that should make some kind of Guinness record.
5- I can scale, gut, de-bone, and clean a normal-size fish in ten minutes.
6- When I left Trinidad to go to college at seventeen, the tallest building I’d ever seen was seven stories high. I used to walk around Toronto trying to find the tops of skyscrapers. I’m convinced that’s how my klutz         problem with not going where I’m looking started.
7- I’m allergic to chocolate. *rolls eyes* It doesn’t bother me, but it seems to bother everyone else.
8- South Florida is a cool place (pun intended) to live from September to April. We’re looking for a summer home. Any takers? Honestly, we’ll mooch anywhere to get out of the sweltering heat. We’re thinking more along the lines of the UK or Europe. We’re great house guests and I’ll cook gourmet meals daily.
9- I once spent the night with the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago and his entire cabinet.
