Folks in town call him a monster—say he’s dangerous. But I know him simply as Elijah Hays, the quiet, gentle giant who works with the horses on my ranch. I can feel him watching me, that steady intense gaze making me crave things I don’t quite understand, burn in a way that frightens me. He’s always kept his distance…until that night.
I remember him coming to my rescue, me following him into the barn, giving him his first taste of a woman, and his inexperienced yet barely reined touch turning me to ash.
Now all I can think about is exposing the dark desire I see deep inside him—having him turn those dark desires on me. That low, gritty voice rasping orders in my ear. Those huge, rough hands holding me down when a storm blows in.
I want his surrender. His control. I want to break him…and have him break me…
*Warning* This was a very erotic read and this review will have lots of quotes from the book. Stop now if you are not willing to take a cold shower right after you have finished reading this!
Elijah is feared by most people in their neighborhood. Some call him a monster, most don’t even know why, but all of them are not willing to meet the real man behind the tragedy. All except Abigail. In fact, Abigail not only wants to know him better, she is hot for him.
I wanted to break through, break him-so I could put him back together piece by piece and make him whole again.
Abigail saw beyond the surface and guessed that behind the cool façade was a gentle, yet dominant sensual male.
I wanted him to gentle me, praise and encourage me as he bent me to his will.
Elijah had never really dreamed about being with Abigail. He felt so beneath her, so bad, that he only lived day by day, never really daring to hope for something better.
You’re my salvation, Abigail. Right here, inside you, I’m redeemed. I’m the man you need. I’m yours and you’re mine.
Before Abigail Elijah was just surviving. After her he started to become everything he had the potential to be. But he was not the only one saved. So was Abigail. Before him, she was lost, just getting by, not really sad, but not really happy. She had deeper needs that only him could fulfill. In each other, they found more than possibilities, they found a future.
Breaking Him was more than a love story. Breaking Him was a journey into self-discovery, self-acceptance and self-awareness. Both characters are drifting and find in each other the anchor to plant seeds, flourish and bear fruits.
Ms. Gray magnificently give us readers a very erotic experience with an amazing plot to back it up. Even though this is a short read, the couple’s relationship didn’t feel rushed.
I have not read anything from Ms. Gray before, but I have instantly become a fan.
We have our own special dance, angel. When we’re alone, and you’re naked.
You MAY, SHOULD and MUST read this if you like your romance scorching hot!!!
